20yr old stucco sided hse, original when hse was new, see added ?s

original hse is 20yrs old, 98% stucco sided, never been painted b4, do I need to primer the stucco sides, after pwr washing preparation ? house is in southern, calif . climate. I will be using Dunn Edwards paint for exterior, with a license contractor. who some say no primer is needed, and other say primer is needed for the stucco. ???? thanks in advance
