We\\\'re buying a new home in Florida. Most new homes are built with stucco. I\\\'m told it can crack and cause severe water damage. I like how it looks but am concerned about repair costs. See additional detail.

Is there a product that will seal stucco and prevent this type of damage or is there any preventative maintenance that can be done to avert this. So far we\\\'ve only looked at brick homes but I would be more likely to buy a stucco home if I knew there was a way to keep it from killingl my wallet later.
