My home was completed by Sept. 1, 2006. The stucco work was applied in June and July. By the end of September we experienced hairline cracking in every wall. As the cold weather continues, the cracking is growing. My Contractor has said that this is normal with stucco, and to learn to live with it.
The stucco surfaces really are beginning to look bad from the numerous cracks, and we are beginning to seriously question if the decision to use stucco over "drivit" was a good decision.
Is there any way we can repair these cracks? How extensive is the repair work, and should we be involving the General Contractor for responsibilty in the repair work?
