i have two 5 gallon buckets of drivit, can anyone tell me how to apply it? there are no instructions and i'm having trouble finding info on the internet. it is used in construction. | |

first you must have a scrach coat. this is sold where you got you drivit. ok, 1st-nail, glue, or screw on youur foam plating.try to keep it flat as poseable.2nd you must have an under coating -scrach coat. this is a vinal patch, or underlayment with a fiberglass mesh in it. it gets rid of nail holes and seams your joints together. also gives the outer coating somethng to hold onto and also gives it its hardness. this is gray in color and what it looks like is pertty much what your finish coat will look like so take your time and do it right the first time.when you put on your color coat, use a flat trowl,and do a circle pattern. add when needed and work out from your circle. best of luck, it kind of hands on learning here.a foam trowl works good too.or rubber type.
